Liquid ring vacuum pumps
Conveying and compressing gases
Liquid ring vacuum pumps, also referred to as water ring pumps, are liquid ring compressors used to deliver and compress gases. They are often needed in plant and process engineering, for example in the chemical industry. In liquid ring vacuum pumps, water is usually used as the operating liquid. Operation with other liquids is also possible if required by the process conditions. The high reliability, low cost of ownership and flexibility of the liquid ring vacuum pump are used in a wide variety of applications: in chemical process technology and filter applications, in the paper industry and power plant technology, in refineries and many other areas. The polyisoprene coating of each liquid ring vacuum pump provides increased corrosion resistance. For more aggressive processes, machines made of stainless steel, with stainless steel lining or ceramic coated components are available.
