EBARA CD & CDX (L) – electric centrifugal pumps with hydraulics made of AISI 304 and AISI 316
High corrosion resistance and high efficiency
These non-self-priming, single-stage centrifugal pumps with hydraulics made of AISI 304 and AISI 316 are characterized by high corrosion resistance thanks to the hydroforming process. These pumps can be used in a variety of ways with different mechanical seals.
These electric centrifugal pumps with hydraulics made of AISI 304 and AISI 316 are suitable for pumping clear liquids that do not attack the pump materials. They are manufactured using the well-known hydroforming process, which guarantees stability, hydraulic efficiency and reliability.
In this process, a high-pressure liquid (up to 1200 bar) is used to deform the metal. The hydraulic fluid, in this case water, presses the stainless steel sheet into the mold until it has reproduced the contours of the mold. In contrast to traditional methods, the hydroforming process offers significant advantages through the combination of the power of the hydraulic press and the high pressure of the water, such as:
- a perfect regular shape
- absolutely smooth surface
- no weld
These properties guarantee the centrifugal pumps high corrosion resistance and achieve up to 80% hydraulic efficiency.
Due to its small size, the CDX(L) series can also be used in narrow or difficult-to-access applications. The standard mechanical seal is Ceramic/Carbon/NBR, however several specialty seals are available making this pump versatile from domestic applications, small irrigation/water treatment systems to evaporation towers.
The CD series is made entirely of AISI 304. The motor, also made of AISI 304, makes this series particularly suitable for damp and salty environments.
